Ian is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 25 years’ experience in both the planning and design of development infrastructure. He has experience supporting major planning applications as well as strategic advice on transport matters for sites early in the planning process. He has appeared as an expert witness to Planning Inquiries on transport planning issues, appeared at Local Plan Examination in Public and has also undertaken appeal by written representation. He has prepared Transport Assessments and transport chapters for Environmental Impact Assessments for a wide variety of projects from large residential developments, motorway service areas, energy infrastructure, government buildings and mixed-use sites. Ian undertook a number of guest lectures at University of East London on Highway Design. He has detailed experience of transport and development infrastructure from conception to completion.
