Ian is a Director based in our London office and a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 25 years of experience in transport planning and development infrastructure.

He advises clients on transport and infrastructure matters throughout the development lifecycle, from early site promotion and planning strategy through to design, delivery and completion. Ian has extensive experience supporting major planning applications and providing strategic transport advice for complex development projects across a range of sectors.

His expertise includes the preparation of Transport Assessments and transport chapters for Environmental Impact Assessments for residential, commercial, mixed-use, energy infrastructure and roadside developments. Ian is also an experienced expert witness having attended Planning Inquiries, represented clients at Local Plan Examinations in Public, and supported planning appeals through written representations.

Stephen has a proven track record in effectively supporting the securing of Local Plan site allocations and planning consents. His experience includes close collaboration with clients, planners, architects and masterplanners to develop exciting, sustainable and deliverable high-quality schemes across the UK, covering land uses including residential, commercial, retail, leisure, healthcare and education. His advice is underpinned by a strong understanding of current and emerging transport trends, policy and ‘best practice’. Active in consultation and engagement, Stephen confidently presents to clients, professional partners, local authorities, stakeholders, residents and communities. He is also experienced in successfully supporting and giving evidence at planning appeals, including public inquiries.
