Overview

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys combining strong technical work with clear client advice, and who wants to take more ownership of projects and relationships.

At iTransport, Senior Transport Planners are trusted to lead day-to-day delivery, contribute to strategy and support junior colleagues as they develop. You’ll work closely with planners, developers, architects and local authorities on schemes that range from strategic residential sites to regeneration, logistics and mixed-use projects.

This role would suit someone who is technically capable, commercially aware and comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-moving environment

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing a range of transport planning projects from inception through to delivery, including client liaison and programme coordination.
  • Preparing and reviewing transport assessments, travel plans, and technical reports for development and infrastructure schemes.
  • Leading on modelling, analysis, and interpretation of data to support robust recommendations.
  • Mentoring junior staff and contributing to quality assurance across project outputs.
  • Representing the business in meetings with clients, stakeholders, and design teams.

What we’re looking for

  • Professional experience in transport planning within a consultancy or related environment.
  • Strong technical grounding in policy, guidance, and best practice relevant to UK development projects.
  • Confident preparing, reviewing, and presenting technical information to varied audiences.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills, with a collaborative approach.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience; chartership or progress towards it is desirable.

Why join iTransport?

We invest in our people and the quality of our work. You’ll have access to training, mentoring, and a culture that values integrity, curiosity, and long-term relationships.

  • A competitive salary and bonus scheme.
  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, with options to buy additional leave.
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements where roles allow.
  • Support for professional development and chartership.
  • A friendly, inclusive team across multiple UK offices.
