We’re now looking for an Associate Transport Planner to take a key leadership role within the practice, delivering high quality projects, strengthening client relationships, and contributing to our continued growth.

The role

As a Principal Consultant, you will manage and deliver a wide range of transport planning projects, providing high quality technical leadership while building strong client relationships. You’ll play a key role in shaping project strategies, mentoring colleagues, and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.

This is an opportunity for an experienced consultant ready to step into a broader role with increased responsibility, influence, and impact.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading and managing development related transport planning projects
  • Preparing and reviewing key technical deliverables, including Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and Environmental Statements
  • Developing and applying vision led transport strategies and technical analysis
  • Overseeing modelling, data analysis, and interpretation to inform project outcomes
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients and leading engagement with local authorities
  • Managing project programmes, budgets, and resources
  • Mentoring and supporting junior and mid level colleagues
  • Contributing to bids, proposals, and wider business development activity

About you

You’ll be an experienced transport planner with strong technical capability and the confidence to lead projects and relationships. You’ll bring a collaborative approach, sound judgement, and a drive to deliver high quality outcomes.

You will have:

  • Experience in development led transport planning
  • Strong knowledge of UK policy and transport planning principles
  • Proven project management and client facing experience
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Experience with transport modelling tools and data analysis
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and opportunity identification

Chartership (or working towards it) and experience in business development or complex projects would be advantageous.
