We’re now looking for a Senior Consultant Transport Planner to play a key role in delivering high quality projects, developing client relationships, and supporting the continued growth of the practice.

The role

As a Senior Consultant, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of projects, providing high quality technical input alongside strategic guidance to clients. You will work closely with colleagues across the practice, contribute to innovative transport solutions, and support the development of junior team members.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading the preparation of transport planning documents including Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and Environmental Statements
  • Providing input into site promotion, master planning and sustainable transport strategies
  • Managing projects, ensuring delivery to programme, budget and quality standards
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building strong and trusted relationships
  • Engaging with local authorities and stakeholders, supporting negotiations and consultation
  • Reviewing technical work and ensuring a high standard of delivery
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members
  • Contributing to bids, proposals and wider business development activity

About you

We are looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with a proactive, collaborative approach. You’ll be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with the confidence to engage with clients and stakeholders.

You will bring:

  • Experience in development related transport planning
  • A solid understanding of relevant UK planning and transport policy
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience of project management and working with clients
  • Clear and confident communication skills
  • A commitment to quality and continuous professional development
